House of Lords declares CSA is incompatible with ECHR

The House of Lords has handed down judgment today in a landmark decision concerning the rights of care workers under the European Convention on Human Rights.

 

The House of Lords declared the provisions of S82(4) of the Care Standards Act 2000 to be incompatible with the rights protected by articles 6 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
