Spike in demand

Friday, 1 October 2010 - With the number of cases of alleged professional negligence continuing to grow, those who have been using Hailsham Chambers' Professional Negligence Group have good reason to congratulate themselves as their decision to instruct members of the set has proved to be shrewd. In the last six months a string of achievements have propelled Hailsham to be the set of choice for discerning solicitors seeking advice and advocacy of the highest standard.

The latest evidence to support Hailsham's rising favour was bestowed last night as tenant, Spike Charlwood, was named by Chambers & Partners as Professional Negligence Junior of the Year. The award builds on the group's increased prominence in the 2010 Legal 500, Bernard Livesey QC's decision to join Hailsham Chambers from 4 New Square and the achievement of QC status for both William Flenley and Julian Picton in 2010.
