Hailsham Chambers nominated for Chambers Bar Award
September 2011 - Hailsham Chambers' consistent high-standing in the field of professional negligence has been demonstrated by its nomination as Professional Negligence Set of the Year - for the third time since 2008 - in the 2011 Chambers Bar Awards.
Individual members of the set's 40-strong Professional Negligence Group have also been singled-out in recent years. In 2008 Michael Pooles QC was nominated for Silk of the Year; in 2010 Spike Charlwood was nominated and went on to win Junior of the Year and this year, Derek Holwill has been nominated as Junior of the Year.
Commenting on the news of the 2011 nominations, Bernard Livesey QC, head of Hailsham's Professional Negligence Group, said: "I am delighted that Chambers' work continues to be recognised by one of the most highly respected independent legal research organisations. I congratulate Derek on his well-deserved achievement and thank our clients for their ongoing support."
