Applications welcome – deadline Monday 16 July 2018
Hailsham Chambers is a top tier civil set, recognised by the legal directories as excelling in our key specialist areas of professional negligence, medical law, costs, and regulatory and disciplinary law.
We have one vacancy for a third six pupil, commencing September or October 2018, with a view to tenancy. We are looking for a motivated, ambitious candidate who can demonstrate excellent intellectual ability, persuasive communication skills and a genuine interest in our areas of practice. The successful candidate can expect to be in court regularly and have opportunities to do paperwork, and will be supported by a mentor.
Your application should include:
- a covering letter explaining your interest in Hailsham Chambers;
- your CV;
- two recent pieces of written work (suitably anonymised), preferably one advice and one pleading;
- two references.
We ask that your referees include at least one recent pupil supervisor and we encourage referees to email us direct. Applications should be addressed to Nicola Rushton QC and can be either emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent by hard copy to Chambers.
The application deadline is 17:00 on Monday 16 July 2018. Interviews will take place during the period 23 – 31 July 2018. Please tell us any dates over this period when you are unavailable.
If you have any questions about a third six pupillage with us, please do contact Nicola on the above email address or by telephoning Chambers.
We are passionate about encouraging applications from a diverse range of candidates and adhere to and support the Bar Council’s policies on equal opportunity and non-discrimination. We are happy to make any reasonable accommodation for candidates with disabilities.
