James commenced pupillage at Hailsham Chambers in September 2026 and is currently under the supervision of Henry Bankes-Jones.
James obtained a first-class law degree from Trinity College Dublin, before working as a judicial assistant in the High Court of Ireland. He subsequently completed an LLM at the London School of Economics and Political Science, specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law. Immediately prior to pupillage, James worked as a paralegal in the dispute resolution department of an international law firm, assisting a team of experienced solicitors in a high-value civil fraud case.
