Hailsham Chambers is an award winning set which is frequently praised for its excellent clerking, the quality of its members’ work and for its reliability. Specialising in Clinical Negligence, Professional Liability, Personal Injury, Costs and Commercial Litigation, Hailsham Chambers contains many of the most sought-after barristers at the London Bar. The set’s progressive thinking and use of modern technologies help chambers to run efficiently and to offer clients choice and flexibility.

Described as “technically superb and a pleasure to work with”, our business is thriving.  We are now seeking to add to our numbers and we invite applications from barristers who would like to join as tenants.  You will need to be academically sound, have some experience and an interest in our core areas of practice and most importantly, be enthusiastic, personable and capable.  In return we offer a friendly and collegiate work environment and outstanding clerking and business development support.

We also welcome applications from employed barristers wishing to return to the self-employed Bar and from applicants with an interest in our areas of practice who have either already completed pupillage or are exempt from pupillage.  These will be considered individually to determine whether a period of probationary tenancy should be undertaken.  Any period of probationary tenancy offered would be with a view to full tenancy on satisfactory completion of the probationary tenancy period.

To apply in confidence please send your CV to our Senior Clerk Stephen Smith. You can also call Stephen or our Head of Chambers Nicola Rushton KC on 0207 643 5000 for an informal, confidential chat if you would like to find out more about the opportunities available.
