Kitty Kirton

Kitty is a probationary tenant at Hailsham, having previously worked as a Senior Associate (employed barrister) in the commercial disputes team at Signature Litigation.  

Kitty has particular experience in commercial litigation and group action claims. Kitty received training in clinical negligence work from Nicola Campbell-Clause as part of her probationary tenancy, and is currently receiving training in professional liability work from Francis Bacon.  

Kitty regularly appears in the County Court and can take instructions for small claim and fast track trials.

Kitty completed her pupillage at a criminal law set.

At Signature Litigation, Kitty was part of the team acting for Privinvest in English High Court proceedings brought against it by the Republic of Mozambique. Kitty also acted for partners in a UK private equity firm, along with associated global entities, in a Commercial Court claim alleging diversion of the business opportunity to conduct an asset recovery process on behalf of the family and estate of the late Badri Patarkatsishvili.

Whilst at Signature Litigation, Kitty was part of the team defending Renault in the NOx Emissions Group Litigation.
