Simon Wilton to be appointed King’s Counsel

19/01/24

Hailsham Chambers is proud to announce that Simon Wilton will be appointed King's Counsel. Simon will become Hailsham’s 12th silk when he makes his declaration before the Lord Chancellor later this year.

Simon is a highly experienced barrister specialising in professional negligence, professional regulation, and commercial disputes – particularly in the insurance field. He has wide experience of interlocutory, trial and appellate advocacy, arbitration work, and all kinds of alternative dispute resolution including acting as an adjudicator under the PNBA adjudication scheme (which he was partly responsible for developing).

Simon was head of the Professional Negligence Group at Hailsham Chambers for many years and has contributed hugely to the work of the PNBA.  Described by Chambers Directory as “one of the nicest and most user-friendly barristers you can ever come across” we are sure that many will join us in congratulating Simon on his well-deserved appointment.
